Throughout our career as consultants, many clients have asked us why we did not recommend that they put certain incorrect claims in the labeling and advertising of their products (food supplements and cosmetics) that were made by other brands present in the market, and that therefore seen, they were marketing their products with absolute freedom.
Given this, our response has always been that health authorities and consumer agencies cannot cope with everything on the market, but that not doing things well and in accordance with current legislation can have negative consequences for the company in question. What’s more, lately there has been more exhaustive control especially in food supplements, and we are having cases of clients who have their entire website reviewed and made to modify its content so that it complies with the legislation. Also in terms of labeling there are increasingly greater demands, so taking certain liberties, in this sense, is not the most advisable.
At Supplaffairs we can advise you to do things right from the beginning and not have unpleasant surprises in the future.
